Rust-Oleum 3202 Galvinoleum Super Adhesion Primer

Rust-Oleum 3202 Galvinoleum is a single-pack super adhesion primer for galvanised steel and other smooth surfaces.

Key features

• Adheres to smooth metal such as galvanised and stainless steel, aluminium and copper
• Also for glass, porcelain and other smooth, dense surfaces
• Recoatable after just 30 minutes
• Very thin film: 4–5 µm dry, theoretical coverage 35 m²/litre
• Can be recoated with Alkythane 7500, improving its adhesion on very smooth, non-porous surfaces

How to use it

• Brush application only (natural bristle); roller not recommended
• Recoat as soon as possible after 30 minutes, and within 24 hours, to avoid trapping dust in the tacky film
• Apply at 5–35°C, humidity below 85%, surface 3°C above dew point
• Clean up with Thinner 160 or aromatic hydrocarbons
• Gloss; corrosion class C1/C2 (low protection); heat resistant to 100°C dry heat; VOC 745 g/l

Preparation

Degrease by alkaline or high-pressure (steam) cleaning and remove previous coatings completely. Remove salts and white rust by washing with Surfa-Etch 108. The surface must be clean and dry.
