Rust-Oleum 3366 Epoxy Powerfloat Floor Primer Rapid 5L Kit

Rust-Oleum 3366 is a rapid curing, water-based adhesion primer for smooth, dense floors, supplied in an all-in-one 5 litre pack containing resin and activator.

Where to use it

On dense, smooth floors such as power-floated concrete, quarry tiles and ceramic tiles. It can be used with almost all Rust-Oleum epoxy and polyurethane coatings (test other coatings for suitability). Do not use under Rust-Oleum 9100. 3366 is a primer only, not a wearing surface. Rust-Oleum recommends a trial area, and advises that shot blasting may be more effective on larger or heavily trafficked areas.

Technical details

• Mixing ratio resin : activator 3 : 2 by volume; mix 2–3 minutes with a wide flat stirrer and apply within an hour
• Pot life 2 hours; touch dry 1.5 hours; handle 2.5 hours; recoat 3 hours; fully cured 5 days (20°C)
• Theoretical coverage 10 m²/litre at 50 µm dry (100 µm wet); avoid applying too thickly
• Brush or medium pile roller, undiluted; replace rollers and tray after 2 hours
• Apply between 10°C and 30°C; cold or damp conditions may slow or prevent curing
• Wash applicators in warm soapy water before the product cures

Preparation

New concrete needs at least 30 days to dry. Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from oil, grease, dust, curing compounds and other contaminants; remove all previous coatings completely.
