Rust-Oleum 5180 is a very strong, shrink-free epoxy repair mortar for damaged floors and steps, in all-in-one packs of resinous material and curing agent.

Where to use it
Permanent repair of damaged, dished or dangerous concrete or stone floors and stairs. Apply from feather edge up to 50 mm (full strength from 5 mm); build up in layers or use 5190 Deep Fill for deeper repairs. When fully cured it can be cleaned with detergents and degreasers; do not steam clean or expose to more than 60°C.

- Theoretical consumption 1.2 m² at 5 mm per 10 kg
- Pot life 30 minutes; working life half to one hour; touch dry 3–6 hours; fully cured 6–12 hours (20°C)
- Compressive strength 55.2 MN/m²; tensile 15.4 MN/m²; flexural 55.9 MN/m²
- Mix the whole pack thoroughly on a board (part packs not recommended); trowel vigorously and finish with a steel float
- Apply at 10–35°C, humidity below 85%, substrate 3°C above dew point; 10°C and below stops curing
- Clean tools with Thinner 160
Preparation
Concrete and stone must be at least four weeks old, dry, and free from coatings, contaminants and loose material. Etch very smooth concrete or soft laitance with Surfa-Etch 108; remove oil and grease with ND14, rinse and let dry. Rust-Oleum recommends priming with 5401 Impregnation Primer and letting it flash off for 30–60 minutes before applying the mortar.
