Rust-Oleum 569/580 is a single-pack, quick drying primer for bare and lightly rusted metal: 569 in red brown, 580 in light grey.
Why choose it
- Recoatable after just 2 hours, so a durable anti-corrosion system can be built in a day
- Excellent flow
- Helps extend the life of an Alkythane 7500 topcoat
- Matt finish; corrosion class C3 (average protection)
- Heat resistant to 120°C dry heat
Where to use it
On new, blasted or slightly rusted steel. Rust-Oleum suggests, for heavy industrial exposure, a two-coat system of 569/580 and 9100; for light industrial exposure, 1060/1080 primer and/or a second coat followed by Alkythane 7500.
