Rust-Oleum EpoxyShield 5220 Clear Concrete Sealer / Primer - 5 Litre

Rust-Oleum EpoxyShield Sealer 5220 is a water-based, single-pack clear sealer for concrete floors. It dust-proofs the floor, makes it easier to clean, and doubles as the primer for EpoxyShield ULTRA floor coatings.

Where to use it

On bare, clean concrete floors in garages, workshops, warehouses and car parks. When it's used as the finish, apply 2 coats. Don't use it on smooth, very dense concrete or on concrete that contains a curing compound.

Technical details

• Coverage up to 10 m² per litre (up to 50 m² per 5 litre tin)
• Apply by brush or roller, ready to use with no thinning
• Apply at 10 to 35°C, relative humidity below 85%, surface at least 3°C above dew point
• Solids by volume 30%; density 1.02 g/cm³
• Clean tools with water

Preparation

Repair holes and cracks, and remove loose paint by scraping and sanding. Remove oil and grease with a degreaser, then rinse thoroughly with clean water and let the floor dry. New concrete must cure for at least 30 days. Very dense or smooth concrete should be roughened first, by blasting or etching.
