Where to use it
Renovation and protection of concrete and terracotta roof tiles. Apply two coats to avoid local gloss differences. For fibre cement use Dac Hydro Pro; prime slate tiles with Primer 44HS or Pegafix; prime terracotta, weathered or very porous concrete tiles with Primer 44HS; and very dense substrates with Noxyde diluted 25% with water. Rust-Oleum recommends always doing an adhesion test.
Technical details
- Theoretical coverage 10 m²/litre per coat (first coat about 125 g/m², second about 100 g/m²)
- Touch dry 1 hour; handle 2 hours; recoat 24 hours; fully cured 1 week (20°C)
- Brush or roller undiluted; airless with up to 3% water (nozzle 009–013, 140–180 bar)
- Apply above 8°C, humidity below 80%, not in full sun
- VOC 35 g/l; cleans up with water
Preparation
Clean with pure water under high pressure (200 bar). Tiles must be dry, clean, not chalking and normally absorbent. Remove moss with a fungicidal wash.
