Rust-Oleum Mathys Vernac Gloss Acrylic Varnish 20L

Mathys Vernac Gloss is a solvent-based, completely colourless acrylic varnish.

Where to use it

Protection of non-ferrous metals and renovation of transparent skylights (not polycarbonate). Apply 2–3 coats for outside work. Do not use as a floor varnish or where it will be under mechanical pressure.

Technical details

• Theoretical coverage 10–15 m²/litre per coat
• Touch dry 1 hour; handle 1.5 hours; recoat 4 hours; fully cured 1 day (20°C)
• Any brush, mohair or short-pile roller
• Apply at 5–35°C, humidity below 80%, substrate 3°C above dew point, with no condensation during drying
• VOC 499 g/l; clean up with Thinner 22

Preparation

Substrates must be completely dry and clean. On metals, remove old varnish and oxidation traces, then wipe with a cloth soaked in Thinner 22.
