Colour advice
For floors under heavy abrasion Rust-Oleum recommends standard and medium colours. With deep or bright tones (red, yellow, orange, green, blue etc.) a PU varnish such as 9211 or 4900 Polycoat 2K must be applied on top. Roller application can leave markings in dark or deep colours; for a decorative finish use a clear topcoat or airless application.
Preparation
- The substrate must be dry, clean, free from rising damp and sound (min. 15 kg/cm² tensile strength).
- Tiles and power-floated concrete: prime with 3333 or 3366. Very porous or heavily abraded concrete: 5401WB.
- Garages, car parks and garage workshops: mechanical preparation (blasting or diamond sanding) and a first coat of 5401WB or 5401 are required.
