Rust-Oleum Surfa-Etch 108 Etching Solution 5L

Rust-Oleum Surfa-Etch 108 is an etching solution that improves the adhesion of coating systems on smooth concrete, masonry, galvanised steel and aluminium.

Key features

• Improves adhesion of Rust-Oleum coating systems
• Neutralises alkaline salts
• Removes zinc and aluminium corrosion products ("white rust")
• No objectionable odour or fumes; non-flammable

How to use it

• Shake well. Remove loose dirt, then degrease first (alkaline or high-pressure cleaning)
• Apply liberally with a stiff nylon brush or broom and scrub in
• Leave 10–15 minutes, then flush thoroughly with plenty of fresh water – do not let it dry before rinsing
• Concrete and masonry may need a second treatment
• Allow to dry completely before coating
• Theoretical coverage 6–8 m²/litre; use at 5–35°C; pH 1; VOC 45 g/l
