Rust-Oleum Tarmacoat Rapid Curing Floor & Line Paint 5L

Rust-Oleum Tarmacoat is a very fast drying, single-pack water-based acrylic paint for floors and line marking, especially suited to tarmac, asphalt and bitumen.

Where to use it

On asphalt, concrete, pavement and bitumen; parking bays for short-term or intermittent use; line marking; tennis courts and playgrounds. Not suitable for garage floors or areas constantly under water. Allow about 24 hours before light traffic (bicycles, cars) and 48 hours where occasional heavy traffic is expected.

Technical details

• Touch dry 30 minutes; handle and recoat 1 hour; fully cured 2 days (20°C)
• Coverage 4–8 m²/litre depending on surface; close to 4 m²/litre on tarmac
• Medium pile roller or brush, undiluted; one coat is generally enough
• Do not apply outside if rain or frost is forecast or below 10°C; humidity below 85%
• Clean tools in warm soapy water before the paint cures

Preparation

Surface must be clean, sound and dry (slightly damp is acceptable). Remove poorly bonded paint and dull glossy surfaces. Prime porous or powdery concrete with Primer 44HS; on asphalt, apply a first coat of Tarmacoat diluted 20% with water.
