Zinsser AllCoat Exterior Water Based Gloss - Tinted Colours

Zinsser AllCoat Exterior Gloss in the water-based formula, tinted to order in your chosen colour. A high-performance gloss for the long-term decoration of timber, metal, masonry, plastic, concrete and cladding, it dries to a vapour-permeable, low-maintenance, water-shedding finish.

AllCoat Exterior Gloss is self-priming and bonds to existing glossy paint without sanding, so most projects need no separate primer.

Performance

Use it on

New or previously painted wood, uPVC, galvanising, metals, cladding, weathered bitumen, stucco, brick, stone and cured concrete.

Technical information

• Spread rate 10 m² per litre per coat; up to 12 m² per litre on non-porous surfaces (sawn timber 4–8, planed timber 8–12)
• Hard dry 4 hours, full adhesion and hardness after 7 days (20°C, 60% RH)
• Film thickness about 40 microns per coat; volume solids 40%; density 1.25 kg/litre
• Apply by synthetic brush, roller or sprayer at 10–32°C and under 85% humidity
• Two coats normally, plus an extra coat on sills and fascias
• VOC 80 g/l; water and detergent clean-up

Surface preparation

Make sure the surface is clean, dry, sound and free from mould and mildew. Remove loose paint and chalky residue, fill holes and gouges, spot-prime knots with Zinsser B-I-N and prime bare ferrous metal with an anti-corrosive metal primer.

Not suitable for: exterior floors, decks or any surface subject to water immersion or prolonged contact with water; new (unweathered) Plastisol; bare PVDF cladding.

Type the colour you need in the Type Colour Below box above the Add to Basket button: a RAL, BS 4800 or NCS reference, or the colour name. Each tin is tinted to order for you.

• Tinted paint is made to order, so it cannot be returned unless faulty.
• Need more than one tin? Order them together and intermix (box) the tins before use for an even colour.
